After I had seen this post with Jörgen Edgar Alfa Romeo 140 AFS/4 in 1/50 scale, I enquired what he could do, and it was npo problem for him to build at any scale. So between the reasonable HO 1/87 and the more oimpressive standard 1/43, I chose the later.
He took the order with a 6 months time frame, which he respected fully, and this became his first 1/43 scale model so far.
Everything went fine with him, and the trolleybus is indeed impressive with its 40 cm.
He is very good at capturing the overall shape, look and presence of the 140 AFS/4. It is a full handcraft from scratch, and it looks something in the "old fashion" league: no special technique at all, everything from scratch and hand painted. It makes a really nice unique piece, yet when used to modern renderings, one could wish some better finish in some area. He accepted the criticism and stated that indeed he was not used to such a large scale.
I use to take merciless close ups of the models, so the finish looks better in te real life than on the screen.
A valuable addition to one's collection, beyond doubt
