I just received this notice: Nada editor, together with "Fiat Group Marketing and Corporate Communication SpA", is issuing the "official centenary book".
See:
the presentation site
Clothed cover embossed with an original Alfa badge, slipcase, 200 pages, 999 copies in Italian and 999 in English,
500 euros!
On the good side, a chapter is written by Ing. Alessandro Piccone, it should be interesting. Otherwise archive pictures and glossy pics shot at the museum.
I have hundreds of books on Alfa, some pretty expensive. I can't hep thinking that for a similar price (and now reduced to half that), Simon Moore offered us 1000 leather boundpages on the 8C2300, summinig up 30+ years of deep and inspired research, with 1000 + pictures, most of which never seen before.
This "official centenary book" qualifies in the same league as the Scorpion sticker offered as an accessory for the Fiat 500 at 250 euros. Enough said as for the way they look at us.
Yet, if your deep pocket suits the offer, they seem to offer special prices for clubs, should allow you to still afford a cup of coffee on your table, next to the book...
