INTERNATIONAL BOXERMEETING 2007
The International Boxermeeting in 2007 will be held in Denmark in the late summer, from Friday August 31 till Sunday September 2.
After many Boxermeetings in Germany and one in Holland, it has now been decided to have a meeting in Denmark, where the Alfasud and Alfa 33 were once very popular.
This year will be the 35 year anniversary for production start of the Alfasud, so we have something to celebrate.
As usual this will be a low cost arrangement, and the Danish Alfa Romeo-club add some money to help keeping your cost down. The meeting and accommodation will be at a kind of "youth hostel" or "holiday park" (Skaelskoer Lystskov Vandrehjem, www.lystskoven.dk), and you can alternatively book the nights at the nearby camping. Both are situated in Skaelskoer in the southern part of Sjaelland, about 110 km SSW of Copenhagen.
When coming from the south you should use the ferry from Puttgarten to Roedby. Unfortunately this is not quite cheap (T/R about 110 Euro). You can also come via the western part of Denmark and then use the Big Baelt Bridge, but this will cost about 55 Euro T/R and for most a longer way to travel. When you come by ferry, you will have to drive about 125 km in Denmark to the meeting place.
All the information will be in English, German and Danish.
The official start of the meeting will be Saturday, 9:30 o'clock, but you can arrive already Friday from 17 o'clock.
After looking on the cars for a while the tour with integrated puzzles will start. This will take you through some nice parts of Denmark. About halfway you will arrive to the club's meetingroom where you will have something to eat, and you can have a look at my Alfasuds and more than 200 modelcars.
In the afternoon you will come back to Skaelskoer, and the dinner will be at the same place. Before and after the tour there will be boxer-parts for sale, and you should also bring your own parts for sale.
You can participate in the arrangement, even if you do not drive a boxer-Alfa.
There is only a very limited amount of single- and double-rooms, so we strongly suggest/hope that you book places in a 3-5 bedroom, maybe together with some friends.
The deadline for registration is August 5, where you should also pay the participation fee. Fill out the entry form and send (post or email). The arrangement is limited to 100 persons (dinner and accommodation, but not included "day-tourists"), so you should book fast to be sure to participate.
